GMAT 2022: Important Dates & Things to Consider
GMAT test dates are rolled out on a 6-months basis, i.e., you can schedule your test a maximum of six months in advance. Experts advise that the aspirants should register 2-3 months prior to their GMAT exam date 2022. Further, you need to keep track of the following things while applying for the exam:
  • Time required for your exam preparation
  • Application dates of your desired MBA/masters programs of the respective B-schools (Authorities recommend that you should choose a test date atleast 21 days prior to the application deadline.)
  • Gap of 16 days between two successive attempts
  • Time required to confirm registration, if you are applying via mail or similar modes
  • Time required to reach the designated test centre
  • Eligibility criteria for taking the exam
As per GMAC guidelines, you will need to add 15 more days, if you are registering by mail. However, if you are applying by phone or online, you can register even just 24 hours before the test.

  • Take the steps to apply for the program of your choice:
    • Search for B-schools/ institutes, compare them, and save them for fast access later.
    • Look for institute events and add them to your calendar.
    • Go through the articles related to advise and suggestions on finding the right school, preparing for the GMAT exam, and compiling your best application.
  • Once you have noted the application deadlines of the selected institutes,make an exam preparation plan anddecide your test date accordingly.
  • Complete your GMAT profile by filling the required details (academics, work experience, etc.)
  • Verify your filled details and then submit it.
  • Schedule your exam at the preferred date and time and choose your closest test centre.

*5 score reports are available for free and must be utilised within 48 hours of receiving the official score.
**Your appointment cannot be cancelled/ rescheduled within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time. If you do not cancel/ reschedule your exam more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time, the complete exam fee will be forfeited.

Note: You may be charged an additional fee of US$10 for phone service.
Once you have paid the GMAT registration fees, your exam date is fixed.

Note:Before your test day, you must decide which programs you want to opt for. This is because when you arrive at the test centre, you are required to select up to five schools/programs just before the exam starts. These schools will receive your Official Score Report.
The Official Score Report is sent within 20 calendar days of your test date. This service is included inGMAT registration fee. So, choose your score recipients carefully since once you have made your selections, they cannot be changed.
