The MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a national‑level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes at more than 600 business schools across India.

The MAT exam consists of 150 multiple‑choice questions divided into five sections:

  • Language Comprehension (30 questions)
  • Intelligence & Critical Reasoning (30 questions)
  • Data Analysis & Sufficiency (30 questions)
  • Mathematical Skills (30 questions)
  • Economic & Business Environment (30 questions)

The total duration is 120 minutes. Each correct answer earns +1 mark and each incorrect answer receives –0.25 mark.

The exam is conducted four times a year (usually February, May, September and December). Candidates can attempt each session and take the best score across sessions for admission to participating institutes.
With 150 questions in 120 minutes, speed and accuracy are critical. Topic‑wise tests and full-length mock exams can help improve efficiency. Since sections carry equal weight, you should distribute time strategically rather than focus entirely on one section. The Economic & Business Environment section is often quick‑scoring, so treat it accordingly.
The course offers a structured study plan tailored to the MAT format: live sessions, online tests, topic-wise tests, concept videos, and doubt-clearing. It also includes peer interaction, counselling support, and strategy modules specific to MAT’s speed-based format, helping you maximise your score in limited time.
The crash course includes:
