The Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development

education. Ever since its establishment in 1993, the institution
has pursued a unique path in moulding bright minds into capable
managers and leaders.
Programs
Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
The Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a 2-year
programme offered over four 18-week semesters.
Eligibility: Graduates from any Statutory University
with a minimum of 50% marks at graduation level. Students appearing
for their final year examinations can apply but their admission
will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks.
Selection procedure: Admissions are based on merit
resulting from the screening test at various centres all over India.
Order of merit and profile of the applicant defines the selection
of candidates.
The selection process will be conducted in 2 stages:
o Stage 1: SNAP
o Stage 2: GD/ PI: The students clearing the SNAP will be short-listed
based upon merit and will have to appear for Group Discussions,
Psychometric Tests, and Personal Interviews. Each of the rounds
will have independent testing panels. The test pattern will have
a psychological pattern as well.
Postgraduate Diploma in Family Business Management (PGDFBM)
SCMHRD emphasizes the critical role of the entrepreneur
in fostering economic growth and job creation through strategic
entrepreneurial orientation.
1. Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks
2. Applicant must be son/daughter, niece/nephew of the owner(s)
of the business and he/ she they should be sponsored by these owner(s)
of business.
3. The sponsor has to undertake that the candidate is being groomed
to manage family businesses and therefore the candidate does not
need campus placement.
4. The sponsoring letter (in the format as given in the instruction
sheet supplied along with the prospectus) should be signed by the
owner of the family business.
5. The sponsor has to undertake that he/ she would arrange for the
candidates summer training.
6. The company's latest annual report, audited P&L account/
income and expenditure account and balance sheet should be submitted
along with the application.
