Nirma Institute of Management was established by the NERF in 1996.
Nirma Education and Research Foundation (NERF) was established in
1994 by the well known industrialist and philanthropist Dr. Karsanbhai
K. Patel with a view to promote and support higher education in
India.
Programs
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
This is the flagship programme of the Institute. The aim
of the programme is to mould future managers.
Eligibility: A three-year bachelor's degree or
its equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of
Indian Universities/AICTE as eligible for MBA studies with a minimum
of 50% aggregate marks is required. Candidates appearing in the
final examination of a Bachelor's degree can also apply.
Selection Process: Candidates short-listed on
the basis of their performance in the Common Admissions Test will
be called for a group discussion and personal interview. The group
discussion/personal interview will be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore,
Kolkata and New Delhi. The final selection to the programme would
be based on the candidate's academic achievements, work experience,
performance in the written test, group discussion and personal interview.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Part Time
Applicants are required to appear for a written test. The
short-listed candidates will be called for a personal interview
for the final selection. Number of Seats Available 60
Eligibility:
- A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in
any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
As eligible for Post-Graduate studies with a minimum of 50% aggregate
marks.
- A minimum of two years of work experience at managerial level.
MBA-Family Business & Entrepreneurship (Two year –
Full Time)
Number of Seats Available 60
Eligibility: A three-year bachelor's degree or
its equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of
Indian Universities. Candidates appearing in the final examination
of a bachelor's degree can also apply. In addition, the applicants
have to produce a certificate from their parents or in-laws that
the applicant is in family business and will join his/her family
business after the completion of the programme. The applicant has
to provide information about his parents/in-laws business in documentary
form.
Written Test: The applicants are required to appear for the written
test to be conducted by the Institute of Management.
Selection Process: Candidates short-listed on
the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be called
for group discussion and personal interview at Ahmedabad. The final
selection to the programme would be based on the candidate's academic
achievements, psychological test, work experience, performance in
the written test, group discussion, and personal interview.
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
The Institute launched the Fellow Programme in Management
(FPM) in 1999. It is an autonomous doctoral level programme.
Those aspiring to be admitted in the Ph.D. programme must hold
a master's degree or equivalent (such as PGDM) with a minimum of
60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing for final examination
can also apply. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their
applications and supporting documents and those who are eligible
will be called for a written test. The written test will be held
at Ahmedabad and Delhi. The short-listed candidates will then be
called for personal interview at Ahmedabad
Placements
An average salary of Rs 4.12 lacs per annum.
