Post Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM)

The Post-Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM) is the flagship programme of MICA. It is a two-year residential programme that is recognized by the industry as a breakthrough in the study of integrated marketing communications management in India. The advanced training in theory and practice of strategic communications is designed to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge, professional skills and creative flair necessary to master the art and science of brand building communications management.

Moreover, the comprehensive curriculum of the PGPCM is constantly updated, on a proactive basis, to meet the fast changing needs of the communications management industry in India.

Eligibility

A three-year Bachelor's degree (as in the 10 + 2 + 3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates appearing for the final examination of their Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) can also apply.

Candidates residing outside India will be short-listed based on their GMAT score. The minimum required GMAT score is 600. Students offering GMAT scores do not require to appear for CAT. The programme will not admit more than 10 students based on GMAT scores.

Admission Process

MICA requires all applicants to appear for the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted jointly by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Students with demonstrable aptitude for conceiving, expressing or assessing ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, will stand better chances of being selected.

The candidates who are short-listed from the CAT are subsequently required to appear for the MET, which is conducted usually in March or April of each year. The MET is designed to assess the candidates' skills in analytical and divergent thinking, written communication and familiarity with the Indian ethos. All candidates invited for the MET are also required to participate in Group Discussion (GD), and to go through a Personal Interview (PI).
