K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) was established in 1981 as a part of the Somaiya Vidyavihar educational complex. Padmabhushan (Late) Shri Karamshibhai Jethabhai Somaiya, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, established Somaiya Vidya Vihar in 1959, with a vision to serve the educational needs of the society at an affordable cost.

Doctoral Programme in Management (Ph. D)

Affiliated to University of Mumbai . The institute has applied to University of Mumbai for approval of guides and the program expected to start as soon as the same is received.

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA)

An “equal opportunity” course, open to students from all over India to cater to the needs of an ever-changing business environment.

Admission – On the basis of Combined Admission Test scores (CAT conducted by IIMs), followed by test of written communication skills, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Suitable weightage is given to past academic record and Work experience.

Masters in Management Studies (MMS) :Intake 120

Selection through Common Entrance Test (CET) and a Centralised Admission Procedure conducted by Department of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra.

Post Graduate Program in International Business (PGPIB)

Admission through IIFT Entrance Test, followed by Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Communication Test. Suitable weightage is given to Past Academic Record and Work Experience.

Master in Computer Software Application (MCSA)

Admission through Competence in Software Technology (CST) Test conducted by CDCC (formerly NCST).

Diploma in Retail Management (DRM)

One year full time autonomous diploma programme in association with Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited.
