International Management Institute (IMI) was established in 1981, as an autonomous non-profit educational society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in collaboration with International Management Institute, Geneva.

Programs

Post Graduate Programme

Approved by AICTE and recognised by AIU as equivalent to MBA the programme equips participants with fundamental management skills and in-depth knowledge of their chosen area of specialisation.

A Bachelor's degree in any discipline under 10 + 2+ 3 system as recognised by AIU. Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor's degree are also eligible, provided they complete all formalities of their examination before June 30, 2006.

Admission Test: Candidates are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT). Last year, candidates who were in the 90 percentile category were invited for the second stage of admission.
Group Discussion and Interview: Group Discussion and Interview at Bangalore, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Delhi and Mumbai.

Post Graduate Programme in International Management

An 11-month transformational programme for enabling executives with some work experience to take up globally oriented management positions

  • Graduates in the 10+2+3 system in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • Post-degree work experience of 3 years or more.
  • Good command over written and spoken English.

Candidates will be required to take a written test administered by IMI to assess knowledge of mathematics and English. This will be followed by an interview.

Post Graduate Programme in Management (Part-Time)

The three-year Post- Graduate Programme (Part-time) in Management (PGPM) was started by the Institute in July 1986.

Admission is open to executives/ officers located in and around Delhi and working in any of the following:

  • business, industry or commerce
  • manufacturing or service
  • government departments
  • defense services
  • banks and financial institutions

Eligible candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised Indian (10+2+3 system) or foreign university.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' post-degree full-time experience at executive level.
  • Owners managers of small and medium-sized enterprises who are desirous of acquiring formal management education may also apply.

Fellow Programme in Management

The FPM is a full-time residential (in residence) Program. Practicing executives however, will have to take courses in the evenings during weekdays for a minimum period of one year.

A recognized Master's Degree in any discipline /CA / ICWA or equivalent with minimum 55% marks/ CGPA of 3.0 on a 4 point scale/ OR A first class B.E/B.Tech degree OR Practicing Executives with Master's Degree in any discipline/ CA/B.E /B.Tech or equivalent with minimum of 5 years work experience / Teachers of degree level Business Schools. Consistently good academic record, with minimum 55% marks in all examinations beginning from higher secondary. Those appearing for the respective examinations can also apply.
In addition, the applicants must have a reasonably good score in GMAT / CAT / GRE for Some Specific Categories not older than two years. (Not applicable for MBA's or equivalent who were admitted to the Program through CAT)
Exemption: Applicants with an MBA or equivalent degree/diploma from a reputed institute (those who had qualified through CAT for admission to such a programme) shall be exempted from submitting their GMAT / CAT scores.

Post-Graduate Diploma Course In Content Creation & Management (Two Years)

The School of Convergence intends imparting education and training in content creation and content management for all media: Print, Radio, Television, Cinema and the Internet.
Graduate from a reputed university. Work experience, especially media experience, would be an added qualification.

  • Written examination to be conducted
  • Those whose performance is found to be up to the mark would be called for an interview in the first week of September.

Postgraduate Program in Change Leadership (11-month modular program)

It will be found useful to those with five years or more executive work experience.

Minimum academic qualification for admission is graduation in any discipline and fluency in English language. Selection is based on a change readiness/orientation test, group discussion and personal interview. Company sponsorship is desirable.

Postgraduate Diploma Program in Knowledge Management (11-month program)

The program focuses on People responsible for developing systems and processes using IT as a tool for KM.

The ideal candidates for the program are middle level managers. Such persons could be

  • Executive Assistants to a functional director or CEO/COO/Senior Management
  • Profit center heads or those being groomed to take over profit center responsibilities of business verticals
  • Managers responsible for KM initiatives in the organization

Company sponsorship is highly desirable.
