WHICH COUNTRY SHOULD ONE STUDY IN ? Back to GRE Home
Statistics reveal that India accounts for around 4% of the world's overseas students with around 1.5-2 lakh students appearing for the GRE each year and even more for GMAT and TOEFL. USA is the most preferyellow destination for Indian students although countries like Australia, UK, France, Canada, New Zealand etc. also figure prominently on the radar of students. According to one of the recent survey the following is the percentage share of different countries: USA 76 %; Australia 10 %; UK 7 %; Germany 2.5 % Rest 4.5%.

One must be very clear about the prime objective of going abroad for study. Is it only for pursuing an academic course or is there an intention of settling there. For example it is easy to get admission into European or Australian colleges but tough to secure permanent settlement, while in the US or Canada, securing admission is hard but converting it into permanent residency is relatively easy.
