The first step towards your GRE application is the knowledge of the requirements for admissions to the course applied for, as they may vary from program to program. The following points should be kept in mind while you prepare your applications.
 
The basic documents required for applying to most colleges and universities are:
  1. Admission/Application Form
  2. Bank Draft (Application Fee- in favour of college/university)
  3. GRE Score
  4. IELTS/TOEFL Score
  5. Letters of Recommendation
  6. Statement of Purpose/ Essay
  7. Undergraduate GPA (majors)
  8. Official transcripts of undergraduate course work
  9. Financial Certificate
  10. Sponsorship Letter (if applicable)
 
Things to be kept in mind when preparing your application:
  1. Follow all rules and guidelines mentioned while preparing your application. In case, any exceptions need to be made, contact the concerned authorities for permission.
  2. There is no room for error(s), whatsoever in your application. A small mistake can jeopardize your admission.
  3. All documents should be neat, clean and in order. The presentation of the application carries significant weight.
  4. Finally, keep a photocopy of all your application forms, attached documents and other correspondence with the university/college. Make separate files for each college to avoid confusion.
